B. C.'s Rockies Region Fishing Lodges and Family Resorts
British Columbia Lodges and Resorts Vacations

The Rockies fishing lodges and family resorts..

The Rocky Mountains that form the border between British Columbia and the province of Alberta. The B.C. Rockies welcome millions of visitors every year, yet is strangely peaceful and uncrowded.

You'll find plenty of fishing here in the Rockies including rainbow, brook, lake, and cutthroat trout. Numerous lakes, and streams support healthy populations of largemouth bass, kokanee and whitefish and the Columbia River sports some of the best walleye fishing in North America.

Famous for its incredible ski resorts, this region is also Canada's golf destination. Hiking is popular in the BC Rockies - the Kokanee Glacier and Valhalla Provincial Parks both provide spectacular mountain scenery, alpine meadows, glaciers and miles and miles of superb trail systems.

This region is also well known for its long lakes, hot springs, fascinating history, ghost towns and the charming heritage city of Nelson.

Trusty Creek Trout and Trail

Activities: Fishing, Hiking, Wildlife, Canoeing, Rafting,

Our Bull River Lodge, deep in British Columbia's majestic Rocky Mountains, sits within casting distance of Galbraith Creek and the Bull River. Rustic luxury awaits the sportsman who craves pristine wilderness and solitude on the river. We have created a hide-a-way from everyday life in our lodge carved out of the wilderness. Rainbows and Cutthroats over 20 inches also inhabit these waters, as well as an annual late summer-fall Kokannee Salmon run that attracts countless bald eages and ospreys for your viewing pleasure. Wildlife is abundant along the river and you can count on seeing any number of western species of wildlife from the boat.

Hand-Crafted Log Cabins, privately situated, are roomy enough for a small to mid-size party or family. Our main lodge has a meeting room for small company meetings, or socializing with other guests and staff. We are the only lodge and guide service in this remote river and hold exclusive rights to serve it in this capacity. We are thirty miles from the nearest power source and pavement. That still doesn't stop us from providing you with shower facilities, hot tubs, gourmet and B.B Q. meals. We believe in a small, quality controlled company, therefore we only guide a maximum of six fishermen at any time and prefer to keep it at four fishers. This gives our guests the best possible experience and our utmost attention.

Also: Palmer Springs Ranch, Alberta, on the banks of the Waterton River, is a classic Canadian cattle operation. The lodge blends in with the ranch buildings and provides the sportsman with modern private rooms, bathroom amenities and a lounging area in front of the fireplace.
A short walk and Palmers private spring-fed lakes, teeming with large rainbows, await your cast. Our guides have over 40-years combined experience fishing these waters. Top quality driftboats and an intimate knowledge of the water put you onto the very best fishing the area offers with Rainbows and Browns to 30 inches in exclusive, spring-fed lakes. The ranch is set in the foothills of the Rockies, with the famous Crowsnest and other Blue-ribbon streams a short, scenic drive away. If you are flying out of Calgary, you can top off your vacation in style on the world-class Bow.
